Review
Even though the author is a well-known investor and talks a lot about his struggles and successes in the area, he also is a great thinker not only about investments theories and principles but about life and relationships with others too.

The book is divided into three parts, so you can read it separately or as a whole book altogether. 1 part is about purpose and importance of having principles in general. Part 2 author explains the most fundamental life principles that he applies every day. Part 3 explains authors management principles.
The book is well-written, easy to follow and every part has to give something valuable to each reader doesn’t matter who you are investor, banker, teacher, lawyer or stay at home mom. Every principle you can adapt to your own life.

OUR KEY TAKEAWAYS FROM THIS BOOK
  • Truth - more precisely, an accurate understanding of reality - is the essential foundation of producing good outcomes.

  • It is far more common to allow ego to stand in the way of learning.

  • If you are not failing, you're not pushing your limits and if you're not pushing your limits, you're not maximising your potential.

  • Above all else, we need to think for ourselves and decide: 1) what we want; 2) what is true; 3) what to do about it.

  • Pain + Reflection = Progress
