When it comes to wearing makeup at the office, there are specific rules that you must follow. Although, the lines between right and wrong are not always obvious. These times, when the office space gets more and more liberated you can easily fall off the track.
That is why we discussed this issue at our office and written down some important things to remember. Here are our DOs and DON’Ts for the office makeup.
DON'T FAKE LASHES
Leave those for your Saturday night out with your friends. Big fake lashes don’t mix with the office environment, it is uncomfortable, it can fall down unexpectedly, and you surely do not want to waste your time at the bathroom trying to fix it when you have more important tasks.
DO GO EASY ON MASCARA
Keep it fresh and avoid the overdone eye makeup, let the people focus on what you are saying not what your eyelashes look like.
DON’T FAKE BAKE
We all know how long winters affect our skin color. And we all want to look healthy and glowy. But there is a fine line between bronzed and burnt orange, and you do not want to cross that line. Leave all the experimentations with self-tanners for the weekend or vacation.
DO MASTER GLOWY MAKE UP LOOK
The key to making bronzer look natural is blending it into your hairline and down to your décolleté. Always use a large brush while applying your bronzer on your face.
DON’T DO THE FROSTED GLITTERY LIPS
You don’t want to look like 12 years old girl trying Barbie lipstick. There are too many amazing nude lipsticks in the makeup world
DO STASH A PRETTY PINK OR NEUTRAL LIPSTICK IN YOUR DRAWER
The neutral pink color is one of the best for any skin tone, it looks fresh, and it won’t seem too loud for 9 am meeting.
DON’T TRY THE DARK RACCOON EYE LOOK
Don’t go heavy-handed on your eyes. You have to look fresh and professional that is why the smokey eye effect is not a choice at the office - leave it for your nights out or a date night, when you want to look a bit sexier.
DO POLISH YOUR LOOK WITH A THIN LINER
Thin eyeliner looks perfect with a light layer of your favorite eyeshadow keep it subtle and elegant, and your eyes will look amazing.
