7 Steps To A Perfectly Organised Wardrobe

FOLD LIKE A PRO
Folding is the key. If you do it right, imagine how much time can you save. No wrinkles, no ironing, just dress-up and go. Folding sweaters and T-shirts right could be a real time saver. And it is actually not that difficult when you get used to it.

FOLDING CLOTHES

ORGANISE YOUR DRAWERS
There is a golden rule for organising your drawers: instead of laying things flat in the drawer, you stand everything up on end like book spines on the shelf.

ORGANISE YOUR CLOSET

IMPORTANCE OF HANGERS

Never underestimate wire hangers that are used in the dry cleaner - they take up less rail space than wooden ones and they work great for a storage. Also, keep dresses or suits that you do not wear that season in a special bag on the hanger, so they do not get dusty.

But I suggest you use felted hangers with the clothes you use that particular season. They look really nice and are practical because clothes are less likely to slip off.

The most important rule of all: never hang a well-structured jacket on the wire hanger - because that is the quickest way to ruin the construction of the shoulders.

HANGERS

DO NOT OVERCROWD

No matter how much stuff you have in your closet - you shouldn’t overcrowd. You should be able to fit at least one finger between each item.

Seasonal items, or some stuff that you do not use: put in the special airbags.

DO NOT OVERCROWD
TRICK TO HANGING TROUSERS

Instead of folding them in the closet or drawer - hang them on the hanger upside down, if you do not have special hanger - that way you will not need to iron them.

HANGING TROUSERS
USE THE ONE YEAR RULE

When organizing your closet think really carefully, have you worn the piece this year? If not - you should get rid of it. I know it is not easy, but seriously, if you never wear it, why do you need it?

GET FIXED
If you still can’t get rid of great dress or jeans that you love, but you simply can’t wear it - fix it. Go to your seamstress and ask for help.
